Quiet Paws privacy notice
Updated October 15, 2026Quiet Paws is operated by Concierge Comptoir. For privacy questions, corrections or help deleting your account, contact info@conciergecomptoir.com.
Your everyday progress stays on your device
You can use the timer, journal and companions without an account. Task labels, session history, settings, treats, bonds and companion care are stored in your browser or the native app’s device storage. Clearing site data or uninstalling may remove them. Exported backups contain private labels and history; you choose where to keep or share those files.
Optional scene lighting and collection interest
Automatic lighting uses your local clock by default. If you choose a city or allow location access, a rounded approximate latitude/longitude is stored only on this device to calculate solar lighting locally. It is not sent to Quiet Paws and is excluded from local progress exports and cloud backups. Remove it in Settings. Collection interest is also stored only on this device; it sends no message, creates no purchase and is not uploaded as analytics.
Optional email accounts and manual cloud backups
Choosing Continue with email sends your email address to Supabase for account authentication. Sign-in codes are delivered through Hostinger. An account is created if needed, and a separate sign-in session is stored on your device. Signing in never uploads or restores progress automatically.
Choosing and confirming Save uploads one latest copy of your task labels, journal (including saved thoughts, return counts and optional reflections), saved routines, settings, rewards, bonds and companion care to Supabase. Each new save replaces the previous cloud copy; histories from different devices are not merged. Backups are limited to 2 MB. Active timers, photos, push subscriptions and local usage notes are excluded. Cloud backups are protected by account access controls and encrypted connections, but are not end-to-end encrypted. Avoid sensitive information in task labels, routine names and saved thoughts.
You can check, restore or delete your cloud backup from Settings. Restore replaces this device’s progress after confirmation and preserves its reminder preferences. Deleting a backup leaves your account and device progress intact. Deleting your cloud account removes its live authentication record and cloud backup; device progress stays here. Signing out removes this device’s sign-in session. Neither sign-out nor clearing browser data deletes a cloud copy. Provider operational logs or recovery copies may remain under the provider’s retention policies after live records are deleted.
Optional gentle distraction support and previews
Gentle distraction support is off until you enable it in Settings. While a focus session is running, it can record a return after the page has been hidden for at least 15 seconds. This may be a locked screen, another browser tab or another app; we cannot distinguish them or see which apps you use. Time away is not a distraction score. Saved thoughts and optional reflections stay with your journal. Quiet Plus routines and longer-term summaries are local features offered in a free preview; additional room collections are also a free preview, with no payment or ownership claim. These additions are included in exports and in cloud backups only when you explicitly save. No activity-monitoring permission or remote analytics is added.
Optional completion alerts
If you enable PWA reminders, your browser sends a push subscription endpoint, a random device capability and the timer deadline to our Hostinger scheduler. These let it send completion alerts while the app is closed. This alert service does not receive task labels, journal entries or companion progress. Turning off reminders requests cancellation of the scheduled alert and unsubscribes this browser from push notifications. If cancellation fails, the app warns you to reconnect; an already queued alert may still arrive. Server subscription records may remain until routine cleanup. Delivery depends on your browser, network, device permissions and Focus settings. Native iOS reminders are scheduled on the device.
Hosting, sharing and optional research
Hostinger serves the app and email. Supabase provides optional authentication and cloud database storage. Normal service and access logs can include IP addresses, request times, browser information and URLs. Processing may occur outside your country. See Hostinger’s privacy policy and Supabase’s privacy policy for their service practices.
There is no advertising or analytics SDK. If optional usage notes are enabled, recording requires your consent and stays on your device until you choose to export it. You can stop recording and delete those notes. Notes exclude task labels, emails and pet progress. Optional tier-interest choices stay on your device. Completion images omit task labels; sharing or downloading requires your action. Campaign links may appear in ordinary hosting logs.
Quiet Paws does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts or photo library. Focus audio is generated on your device. We do not sell your progress or use it to target advertising. Purchases and automatic cross-device synchronization are not available.
Your choices and support
Accounts, cloud saves, alerts and usage notes are optional. Settings offers local export, restore and reset controls, cloud backup deletion and account deletion. Use a private device and keep exported files safe. For access, correction or deletion requests you cannot complete in the app, email info@conciergecomptoir.com. We may need to verify that you control the account. We will update this notice when these practices change.
